Seth Izen, Executive Director

Seth is Executive Director of MetroWest Mediation Services. He has been active in community mediation in Massachusetts since 2008, completing a practicum with the Cambridge Dispute Settlement Center, mediating on the district court panel of the Middlesex Law Center in Lowell, and serving as the Peer Mediation Coordinator at North Shore Community Mediation Center. Seth completed his Basic Mediation Training at Brown University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. He earned an M.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies at University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he also taught a graduate-level course on Mediation: Theory and Practice.

Eric Greene, Director of Community Dispute Resolution

Eric Greene is Director of Community Dispute Resolution at MetroWest Mediation. He oversees all non-court connected services including the Local Consumer Program and mediation for organizations, divorce/family, community, re-entry, and youth. He received his MA in Conflict Resolution & Near Eastern Studies from the Heller School for Social Policy at Brandeis University.  Eric has trained hundreds of new mediators.  He is the current co-instructor of Mediation Practice and Theory at UMass Lowell and has previously taught the Advanced Mediation Course for graduate students at Brandeis University.

Li Morrison, Director of Court Mediation & Conciliation

Li is Director of Court Mediation & Conciliation at MetroWest Mediation. She is also the Coordinator of the Housing Mediation Program which provides mediation to landlords and tenants in eviction cases. Li oversees mediation and conciliation services in the District Court, Juvenile Court, and Probate & Family Court. Prior to this role, Li served as a volunteer mediator for Small Claims cases with MWI and MWMS for several years. Li is also trained in divorce, summary process, and permanency mediations. Li earned a BS in Electrical Engineering, a MS in statistics, and a JD. She is a licensed member in the California bar association.

Marlie Lin, Local Consumer Program Manager

Marlie manages the Local Consumer Program at MetroWest Mediation Services. She has five years of experience with the Local Consumer Program, most recently serving as Coordinator of Administration & Outreach at Middlesex Law Center. Marlie earned a Master of Legal Studies from Northeastern University and a Paralegal Certificate from Middlesex Community College.

Lisa Bennett, Mediation & Conciliation Coordinator

Lisa is a mediation & conciliation coordinator. She obtained her mediation training from MWI in Boston, and has volunteered as a mediator with MWI's court programs. Lisa received her JD from the UCONN School of Law and is a member of the Connecticut Bar. She received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts. She is a member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and the Academy of Professional Mediation. Outside of MetroWest Mediation, Lisa is a mediator at Greater Boston Mediation.

Jen is the Dispute Resolution Specialist at MetroWest Mediation where she assists with local consumer cases and the youth program. She earned her JD from Suffolk University Law School and worked ten years with a Boston-area law firm. She previously worked as a mediator in the Attorney General's Office Consumer Division.

Monica De Carvalho, Housing Program Assistant and Community Liaison

Monica is a Housing Program Assistant and Community Outreach Liaison at MetroWest Mediation. She is also the Portuguese interpreter. She supports parties in mediations for Housing, Small Claims, and Divorce cases and also handles Local Consumer Program cases. Monica has experience working in the medical field as a patient coordinator and in early childhood as a family outreach coordinator.

Elizabeth Peterson, AmeriCorps Member

Liz is an AmeriCorps Member with MetroWest Mediation Services. She assists with the Local Consumer Program, Re-Entry and Youth Services. She is currently enrolled in the Conflict Resolution and Coexistence MA Program at Heller School for Social Policy at Brandeis University. Liz is also the director of the Partakers Empowerment Program which helps formerly incarcerated women and men obtain the skills and knowledge they need to overcome the many challenges of re-entry.
